IWLA Mourns the Loss of Saddle Creek Logistics Founder and Chairman David Lyons

lyons_davidDavid Lyons, founder and chairman of Saddle Creek Logistics Services, was 85 years old when he passed away. David’s family was at his side when he passed.

According to a statement on the Saddle Creek website:

“David founded Saddle Creek in 1966 with one 12,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Lakeland, Fla. Over the course of the next 49 years, he transformed the small public warehouse company into one of the largest family-owned 3rd party logistics providers in the country. Under his leadership, Saddle Creek has experienced year over year revenue growth every year since its founding. Today, Saddle Creek has grown to be a fully integrated logistics services provider with over 2500 associates nationwide.”

“We will miss David’s leadership, guidance, encouragement and his ever engaging smile. We thank him for his vision, dedication and hard work in building this great company. And we will honor him by continuing to deliver excellence in service, whatever it takes!”
