Duke Realty’s Atlanta Team Leases 1.5M SF and Adds Three New Logistics Facilities in First Half of 2019

The Atlanta office of Duke Realty (NYSE: DRE), the leading domestic-focused industrial-only property REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) in the country, is off to a strong start in 2019, leasing 1.5 million square feet of space and adding to its portfolio with three new logistics facilities totaling more than 1.2 million square feet. With the exception of two recently delivered buildings, Duke Realty’s 13 million-square-foot industrial portfolio in the Atlanta metro area is 93.5 percent occupied.

Since the beginning of the year, Duke Realty has signed renewals with four existing tenants totaling 83,868 square feet. New leases have been signed with six new tenants, as well as one with an existing tenant for additional space, for a total of 1,453,740 square feet.

Duke Realty’s new Atlanta-area logistics buildings include a 589,680-square-foot building at 1380 Jesse Cronic Road in Braselton which was placed in service in January, and a 193,440-square-foot building at 4900 N. Commerce Drive in its Camp Creek development in East Point which delivered in February and is 50 percent leased. A 499,250-square-foot, build-to-suit warehouse for HWC Logistics is under construction at 2929 Roosevelt Highway in College Park.
