CDC Issue Guidance on Reopening Office Buildings

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued guidance for employers on May 27 to help mitigate COVID-19 exposure risk within office buildings. The guidance highlights several actions employers should consider prior to resuming operations to create a safe and healthy workplace.

The CDC and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) also recently published an infographic detailing how manufacturing workstations should be aligned if feasible for employers. The guidance primarily instructs employers to develop setups that allow for worker distancing or employ the use of physical barriers, such as partitions.

Businesses should regularly check relevant government agency resources to ensure they are following the latest guidance and recommendations for preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace.
