Every year the IWLA Convention Planning Committee invents new activities, themes, and speakers for the IWLA Convention & Expo. This is especially true for the IWLA 125^th Anniversary year. This milestone is cause for a big celebration. With the theme, “We’re Just Getting Started,” IWLA is recognizing the past, present, and future of warehouse logistics innovation. So what can you look forward  to March 13-15 in Orlando?  

1. 2016 IWLA Convention App sponsored by Zethcon. This innovative app – now in its fourth year – has great features to plan your event and connect with your warehouse peers.

• Now you can tag your posts! All posts can now be tied to an agenda item, speaker, or exhibitor. Whether you’re in the expo hall or at a reception, be sure to tag your photos to create a stream from that convention experience.
• The message feature allows attendees to chat privately through the app. Go to the messages tab in the navigation panel.
• Channels are special-interest groups within the app. Whether you’re looking for dinner plans or want to connect with other owners, find them in the channels tab.

2. Warehouse Evolution: 1891 to Today Museum in the Expo Hall. In honor of IWLA’s 125^th Anniversary, the association has curated artifacts from members and the IWLA archive to showcase. The display is a special tribute to those who built our thriving industry. It will also highlight IWLA’s historical beginnings from the founders’ perspective, bringing 125 years of documents and articles back to life.
3. Themed receptions add a vintage twist to networking. We’re going back in time! This year the evening receptions will have era-themed party vibes from the roaring ’20s, to the ’40s and to present day. The final 125^th Anniversary Gala will be a pool party with a laid-back Caribbean atmosphere and an interactive band leading the fun. These receptions will create many memories for years to come.
4. Purchase a 125^th Anniversary Polo and have it for the event. IWLA is offering members a chance to have commemorative 125^th Anniversary polo shirts at the 2016 event.
