IWLA Pledges $75,000 to American Logistics Aid Network, Urges Warehouses to Match Funding, Commitment

Pledge-banner-v3During the 2016 IWLA Convention & Expo, March 13-15, in Orlando, Fla., the International Warehouse Logistics Association announced a new fundraising campaign in honor of the association’s 125th Anniversary: IWLA is committing a $25,000 to the American Logistics Aid Network each year through 2018. IWLA is asking its warehouse and partner members to pledge their commitment as well.

IWLA will match all donations to made to ALAN by July 1, 2016 up to a total of $25,000.

Starting in 2017, IWLA members can choose to make a donation to ALAN on their renewal invoices. Donors will be recognized by IWLA as well as by ALAN.

IWLA members are uniquely positioned with space, tools and resources that are critical to disaster recovery. These assets can be pooled together in the greatest times of need: in the wake of a hurricane, tornado, severe flooding, health epidemic or any other disastrous event that disrupts society.

IWLA and ALAN have supported these efforts for the last decade. Over the years, IWLA members have stepped up. Now we will step up in a more significant way.

I pledge my support to ALAN this year. By doing so, I am:

  • making a financial donation to ALAN today;
  • making myself available to ALAN requests or calls in times of need;
  • providing assistance and resources when I am able; and
  • actively encouraging industry peers to help in recovery efforts.

See for yourself the strength of ALAN and IWLA’s partnership–pledge to make a difference this year.
