During the last several years, an increasing number of IWLA members have begun offering fulfillment services for e-commerce and direct-selling customers. In addition, IWLA has also seen more companies with a primary focus on fulfillment services joining the association.
As you are aware, the direct-to-consumer service area comes with unique challenges. After several discussions with IWLA members we have found a need to form an IWLA Fulfillment Services Council.
The primary function of the council is to bring together members who either are working in the direct-to-consumer service segment or who are interested in offering these services. The council would provide a forum where those members sharing an interest in fulfillment services can come together to discuss issues pertinent to this business.
The launch of the IWLA Fulfillment Services Council will take place during the 2017 IWLA Convention & Expo, March 19-21, in Palm Springs, Calif. If this council fits your business interests, please plan to be there for the first meeting. Also, please take a moment to review the council charter which outlines the council’s mission, purpose and goals. It is intended to set the stage for the council’s organization and seed the discussion at the convention.
Please let IWLA know if you have any feedback or interest in joining the IWLA Fulfillment Services Council and we will gladly include you in future communications. Contact Jay Strother at jstrother@IWLA.com or 847.813.0114.
