On September 13, review of the proposed rule to increase the overtime threshold from $455 to $679 per week (equivalent to $35,308 per year) was concluded by the White House’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB). The final rule, which may include changes in response to comments made by the public, is expected to be released shortly. IWLA submitted comments mainly in support of the proposed rule along with other members of the Partnership to Protect Workplace Opportunity.
