The House early on March 14 approved by unanimous consent a bill to reauthorize the CFATS program for 18 months, moving the measure to the Senate where some Senators favor replacing the CFATS program with a voluntary program similar to a plan suggested by the Trump administration.

The House bill, H.R. 6160, would reauthorize DHS’ CFATS program for another 18 months past its looming April 18 expiration.
