IWLA member companies – and the people who run them – are generous. They donate their warehouse space and services – and even transportation resources – to help those in need.
The American Logistics Aid Network’s (ALAN) reports IWLA members are stepping up in response to the water crisis in Flint, Mich. ODW Logistics, Spartan Logistics, and Wright Distribution/Logan Express have all donated transportation services via ALAN. This transportation is providing clean drinking water for more than 7,500 families (30,000+ individuals) for a week.
In addition: Evans Distribution assisted an initiative by the Revive Matthew 25 Movement, which involved more than 30 metro Detroit Churches donating and delivering bottled water to Flint. The group sends a special thank-you to Franklin Brown and Second Ebenezer Church for getting Evans involved. CMAC Transportation is working in conjunction with the Keystone Academy, Global Advanced Products, and Hartland Schools to deliver a truckload of water to families in need on Friday.
Plus, Wagner Logistics has committed to move infant care items from Kansas City to Chicago for the refugee crisis.
Thank you for supporting our communities. Way to go IWLA!
